Fulare_Pad
Fulare_Pad is a ukulele-guitar duo in Japan. The name is a combination of a Japanese word "furari" and an English word "pad" referred to as a free and easy journey. As like its name, their unique harmony by ukulele and guitar takes people on a musical journey.
 
With Daisuke Maeda on ukulele and Hideyuki Shimizu on acoustic guitar, childhood friends, Fulare_Pad started their professional career in 2008 by having their signature tune “Summer Spur” featured on the TV commercial of Japan’s high-class beauty brand “SK-II”. They have released six full-length albums, two EP, and several singles for digital distribution.
 
They have performed nationally and internationally, including United States, Canada, Australia, Italy, Korea, China, Thailand, and the home of ukulele, Hawaii. They have brought smiles to the audience anywhere they go with their delightful performance and pleasant sound.
 
In 2016, Fulare_Pad added an additional instrument onto their music, vocal. A verbal expression will craft the diorama representing the view of their hometown Kyoto, the heart of Japan, which they proudly present to the world. Their first EP featuring vocal titled “Kyoto Tower ni Nobotte” was appointed as an official promotional song of Kyoto Tower, the symbolic building of Kyoto.
 
In 2018, to mark the 10th anniversary of their professional debut, Fulare_Pad transformed their music style in "hybrid", mixture vocal and non-vocal, and released a new full album titled "Step Forward", which features Daisuke's vocal more than ever.
 
With or without the words, the music of Fulare_Pad is always designed to bring you back each home, where all journeys should end.
