OUR TANGO Orchestra
OUR TANGO Orchestra runs their own style which inherited from the traditional Argentine tango to the "new tango"(Tango Nuevo) in the late 20^th century, based on which they have explored in multiple levels with their individuation and expansion, while adhering to the interpretation of the orthodox tango style, and attempting to interpret tango with the Oriental flavor elements.
 
Since 2011, the orchestra's interpretation has evolved from the original pure instrumental music to collaboration with various art forms such as vocal art, dance and drama, and has continuously sought to construct new interpretations with artists from different fields.
 
Over the past years, OUR TANGO has established their own colour of sound. Their first single, Invierno Porteño (from Cuatro Estaciones Portañas), recorded in 2014, was circulated in the Argentine authoritative radio "2x4" and was awarded by tango master Walter Rios.
 
In 2017, as a special guest, the orchestra was invited to present a live performance at the summit of the 45^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Argentina. OUR TANGO witnessed the profound friendship between the two countries and played a new chapter in China-Argentina friendship through the art of tango.
 
Since 2018, OUR TANGO has begun to touring dozens of concerts throughout the country, which have received recognition and praise from the audience. At the end of 2019, OUR TANGO took the performance part in a concert held by Embajada de la República Argentina en Pekín and NCPA, which was held on the Argentinian National Tango Day. At the concert, OUR TANGO was officially awarded by the embassy a certificate claimed that OUR TANGO Orchestra realizes an extraordinary contribution to the popularization of the culture of tango in China.
 
As COVID-19 spread throughout the whole world, OUR TANGO started a tour called “FIGHTING COVID-19” across the most important cities of China, from July till Christmas, 2020. In 2021, OUR TANGO is going to start a new series of activities in memory of the 100^th anniversary of Astor Piazzolla.
OUR TANGO Orchestra presents the classical Tango music, as well as the combination and adaptation of traditional Chinese music elements with Argentine tango, which is the biggest highlight, that enables the two great civilizations to meet through the bridge of tango art, link together, and shine sparkly.
