Violin: Wendi Wang
Wendi Wang is a talented young violinist and guest musician of Beijing Contemporary Soloists. She also received the Prize Winner of Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music and Wenhua China Youth Violin Competition. Wendi currently studies at the String Department of Central Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Professor and Doctoral Supervisor Ti Zhang. In the period at school, she served as the concertmaster of China Youth Chamber Orchestra, China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the EOS Orchestra, etc.
 
She won 1st prize and Chinese Works Performance Award of the 10th China National Violin Competition, Mozart Award of the Mozarteum University Summer Academy in Salzburg, Prize of Concerto Competition and Chamber Music Ensemble Competition of the 18th and the 20th Morningside Music Bridge, 5th prize in junior group of the 13th International Competition for young violinists in Honor of Karol Lipinski and Henryk Wieniawski, 2nd Prize in senior group of the HKIVS/Shlomo Mintz International Violin Competition, Third Prize and Chinese Piece Award of 2018 Schoenfeld International String Competition, Distinction Award of the 2nd Singapore International Violin Music Festival, Bronze Medal of the 10th Chinese Golden Bell Award and the China Central Television Piano and Violin Competition, etc. She has been invited to sit on the jury of “CCOM Yiyang Top-10 Talent Program” and “Chinese Outstanding Student Art Festival” final round.
 
As a soloist, Wendi has been invited to perform in the 12th Beijing International Music Festival, the Shanghai New Year Concert 2010, the Qingdao New Year Concert 2013, the Hida-Takayama Music Course, the Beijing Youth Art Festival and the 10th Annual International Chamber Music Festival, etc. In April 2014, the director of the Wernigerode Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra invited her to give several concerts in Germany. At the invitation of Michel Strauss, she attended a number of concerts in the Musique de Chambre à Giverny as a junior musician. Among the famous orchestras she cooperated with are the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, Wernigerode Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Yehudi Menuhin School, China Philharmonic Orchestra, Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Opera House Symphony Orchestra, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Harbin Symphony Orchestra, Central Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Daqing Symphony Orchestra and China Junior Chamber Orchestra, all of which received enthusiastic responses.
 
She won a number of professional scholarships in school. In 2012, she was elected to the “Best of Best—Outstanding and Innovative Student training plan (BOB)” of CCOM. Up until now, Wendi has held a number of solo recital successfully and gained favorable reception.
 

Piano: Xie Wang
Wang Xie, young pianist, studied in the piano department of the Central Conservatory of Music for bachelor’s degree and learned from Professor Xi You. After graduation, she was admitted to the Royal Danish Academy of Music for further study and learned from the department’s head Professor Niklas Sivelöv. In 2017, she obtained a master’s degree in piano and a master’s degree in pedagogy with full score in professional courses. Her performance experiences have spread throughout Beijing, Wuhan, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Xiamen, Guangzhou, Qingdao, Germany, Luxembourg, Denmark and other places. She has given solo and ensemble concerts at Zhongshan Concert Hall, Wuhan Qintai Concert Hall, Qingdao Grand Theatre, Henan Art Center, Shenzhen Concert Hall, Changsha Concert Hall, Hohhot Grand Theatre, Suzhou Art Center, Deutsche Welle Bonn, Italian Embassy, Vianden Music Festival, Danish Cathedral, and Tivoli Royal Concert Hall.
 

Cello: Tian Xie
Tian Xie, young cellist, principal cello of the Sichuan Symphony Orchestra, Gold Medal and “Best Bach Interpretation” winner at the 9th Davydov International Cello Competition. Davydov International Cello Competition Eleonora Testeļeca, President of the Jury of the Davydov International Cello Competition, said: “This year’s new star of the competition, Tian Xie not only commented on his outstanding virtuosity, but also on his knowledge of the cello. His feeling for the music and his mastery of the style completely overwhelmed the audience. The judges and the audience were completely overwhelmed.” Cello virtuoso Jian Wang once described Tian Xie as “of world-class standard”.
 
In May 2016, he was awarded the Gold Medal and the “International Cello Competition” in the 9th Davydov International Cello Competition in Latvia with the highest score in each round. He was also the Gold Medalist at the 2010 Concerto Competition of the Yeo Siew Toh Conservatory of Music at the National University of Singapore.
 
As a soloist, he has performed with conductors Daye Lin, Andris Vecumnieks, Jason Lai, Diego Masson, Qingshi Tang, Chao Xiao and Darrell Ang. He has also performed with the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, the Latvian Concerto Symphony Orchestra, the National University of Singapore, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music New Music Orchestra, Sichuan Symphony Orchestra and Liangshan Symphony Orchestra.
 
As a chamber musician, he formed a piano, flute and cello trio in 2012 and was awarded the 2012 Singapore International Flute Award.
 
He won the bronze medal in the 2012 Singapore International Flute Festival Repertoire Competition. In 2020, he co-founded the “The Super Cello 4+1” and the “Shu String Quartet”, and has performed in theatres, festivals and universities across China. He has also been invited as an artist to perform at the Qingdao International Cello Festival, the Olympia International Music Festival, the Nanjing Forest Music Festival, the Chengdu Beethoven Festival, and the Chengdu International Cello Festival, Nanjing Forest Music Festival, Chengdu Beethoven Culture and Art Week.
 
He began his cello studies in 2001 with Mr. Xisheng Zhang and was admitted to the China Conservatory of Music in 2003, where he studied under the internationally renowned cello teacher, Professor Mingqing Yu and Professor Jianan Zhao. In 2009, he entered the National University of Singapore's Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music to study for his Bachelor's degree under Professor Liwei Qin, an internationally renowned cello player. In 2015, he was admitted to the Hannover Conservatory of Music in Germany to study for his Master's degree under Professor Tilmann Wick.
 
In 2016, he moved to the Dresden Conservatory of Music to study with the internationally renowned cellist Professor Danjulo Ishizaka. After graduating from the Conservatory in 2017, he was admitted with full marks to the Mannheim State Conservatory in Germany and studied with the internationally renowned cellist Professor István Várdai.
 

Narrator: Yuanyuan Wang
Yuanyuan Wang graduated from the Central Academy of Drama with a bachelor's degree in acting and studied at the Beijing Film Academy in directing. He has extensive experience in acting drama, stage plays, film, and television. His representative works include the TV series “Autumn Begonia”, “New Shanghai Beach”, “Twelve Maidens of Gusu”, “New Youth”, “The Bottom Line for Men”, the films “The Longest Embrace”, the documentary “Xi'an City Documentary”, “Jiangsu Nantong City Documentary”, the drama “White Deer Plain”, “The Great General Kou Liulan”, “The Pride of Heaven”, “Six Playwrights”, “There is a Poison” etc.
