Duo Wolańska Gajda
The Wolańska-Gajda Duo, founded in 2014 by pianist Julia Wolańska-Gajda and accordionist MichałGajda, brings a unique blend of piano and accordion to classical music. They have performed in prestigious venues worldwide, including Carnegie Hall in New York and the Berlin Philharmonie. Their repertoire includes both original compositions for piano and accordion and transcriptions of works ranging from Baroque to modern tango. The duo has received numerous accolades, including the Polish Glos Young Artist Medal in 2018 for their outstanding and innovative performances. Both Julia and Michałgraduated from the I. J. Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań, where they studied under renowned professors.
