The multinational music ensemble that created the miracle of “Blue Autumn” Album is coming to Shenzhen.
We are doomed to be blended into the blue romantic notes on 23rd November at Shenzhen Concert Hall.
Beth Root Sandvoss, Cello
Beth Root Sandvoss was born in Madison, Wisconsin of the U.S., where she studied with Margaret Christy in her early years as a cellist. Sandvoss pursued further studies with cellists Parry Karp, Alan Harris, and Irene Sharp.
Sandvoss has been a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the San Jose Symphony, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, the Victoria String Quartet, and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performances have taken her on tour to Europe, North America as well as Asia. She has recorded for WERN Madison public radio, RTHK Radio Hong Kong, and CBC Radio.
Sandvoss collaborates regularly with fine musicians around Canada and the U.S. She has a very active chamber music career in Canada. She is a founding member of the acclaimed Land’s End Chamber Ensemble and meanwhile the member of the string quartet of the Calgary University.
Along with her performing career, Sandvoss is a very dedicated pedagogue in the string society of North America. She has held many master classes in North America. Her students have won numerous competitions in North America and are regularly invited to perform around the world. Sandvoss is a faculty member at the Mount Royal College Conservatory as well as the guest professor of the University of Calgary.
